My article 5 Things I had to Unlearn from High School Theatre is now available on Corduroy Publications.
Kathleen Evelyn Brown is a Texas-based creative collaborator who is determined to infuse empathy, femininity, and wonder into all of the work she undertakes.
Kathleen is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin (Hook'em Horns) where she trained as an actor and theatre-maker, collaborating with organizations including the ZACH Theatre, Harry Ransom Center, and Texas Performing Arts. While in Austin, she began her film career and has performed in many of XHorn Productions' award-winning independent features. She has worked extensively with A.D. Players Theater in Houston, Texas, including serving as the New Works Festival Coordinator for the first annual Metzler New Works Festival. She also served as the student company director for Encore Arts in Katy, Texas.
When she isn't talking about or thinking about or dreaming about theatre, you can catch her obsessively following foster kitten accounts on Instagram, redecorating her bedroom, and boring everyone with her weirdly deep knowledge of theme park attractions.
