Directing Romeo and Juliet at Texas State University, February 2025
I am a collaborative theatremaker who celebrates the imperfection of humanity. I am interested in artist-centered and artist-led creation that exists outside the boundaries of traditional institutional production models. In this space, I enjoy developing new work, experimenting with established texts, and connecting audiences to action-based engagement models.
I pride myself on my ability to direct ensembles, work in non-traditional spaces, lead actors through intense dramaturgical discovery, and bridge the gap between seasoned performers and first-time thespians. I am passionate about responding to the needs of both the artists creating the work, and the audiences that receive it.
As a director, actor, dramaturg, and teaching artist I have worked with ZACH Theatre, Houston Grand Opera, A.D. Players Theatre, Katy Visual and Performing Arts Center, Clear Creek Community Theatre, HITS Theatre, Firecracker Productions, TexARTS, and KidsActing. Currently, I am based in the Texas Hill Country. I hold a B.A. in Theatre & Dance from The University of Texas, and I am pursuing my MFA in Directing at Texas State University.
